To export goods, you will need the services of a licensed customs clearing agent
to process exportation documents and clear goods on your behalf. Some items may attract an export levy
as outlined in the First Schedule of the Miscellaneous Fees.
We will be responsible for declaring the goods in the customs system and will facilitate the process of entry declaration,
processing, stuffing, verification, and release. Upon compliant declaration, a certificate of export will be issued by
customs upon the exit through the border or port. Importation refers to bringing goods into a country from a foreign
nation. When importing goods, it’s essential to declare them within twenty-one days after their arrival or
commencement of discharge.
Duties and taxes are payable, depending on the value of the imported items and the applicable duty rates.
These include import duties, excise duties, value-added tax (VAT), import declaration fees, and railway development levy.
The goods clearance process involves lodging and processing the Import Declaration Form (IDF), entry declaration,
payment of taxes, and processing, verification, and other enforcement measures, and finally clearance and release by
customs. In need of our services? Contact us or get a quote.
